Get Inn! New jobs created for young people at Premier Inn
Whitbread is taking part in the government’s Kickstart scheme.
The Premier Inn owner, which has over 800 hotels across the UK, is offering six-month paid work placements to young people aged between 16-24 looking to take their first steps into the world of work.
The scheme runs until September 2022 and the vacancy deadline is February 28 – several hundreds of roles are available.
In support of the scheme Whitbread has created a variety of opportunities and job roles, including multi-skilled roles in which young people can benefit from department rotations before being able to choose an area to specialise in.
Kitchen roles are on offer as well as trainee management roles – an exciting opportunity for those looking to develop their skills as future team leaders.
Should a vacancy be available at the end of placements, successful trainees could fill that role and continue their training on Whitbread’s apprenticeship scheme.
Lisa Taylor, Head of Resourcing at Whitbread said: “The past two years have shown the absolutely essential role hospitality plays in people’s lives – whether for business or pleasure and there really has never been a more fulfilling time to join us. We’re absolutely thrilled to create these new opportunities for young people to start a career in hospitality and are particularly pleased to offer a range of roles from work in our busy kitchens to management training where young people can learn how to become outstanding future leaders.”
Whitbread is the owner of Premier Inn hotels and a variety of restaurant brands.
